New Cerbo-S GX
The new Cerbo-S. With component shortages plaguing industries from all sectors, it spurred Victron into producing a scaled down Cerbo GX that probably should have already been on a future roadmap, if you ask me. The Cerbo-S is much the Cerbo, but without the 4 temperature sense or 4 tank sense inputs. It also lacks the BMS-Can port, which is used to receive data from smart batteries, such as the highly popular Pylontech 48V range, and is typically found in domestic grid-tied ESS setups.
So, for those installers who would never have benefitted from those great features, the lower price may just tip the scale in favour of the new Cerbo-S GX for smaller installations. Installers now have even more choice and flexibility, which of course can also lead to even more head scratching for some.
