New Multiplus-II 5kVA manufacturer's G98 3.68kW limit in firmware 510
Some very good news for those households that only require a 3.68kW G98 compliant inverter. To date you very much had one Multiplus-II G98 2.4kW (3kVA) option with the 4.4kW (5kVA) model and above all requiring a G99/G100-2 applications with DNO's often demanding output limits to be implemented given the G98/G99 gridcode was a combined setting. One downside of this was that a 2.4kW inverter was maybe just not enough whereas the 4.4kW and G99 application process may have deterred some given the ne

Victron just announced over 30% price reductions across the Multiplus-II 8, 10 and 15kVA models
Great news if you have been looking at a larger Victron inverter, but resisted to date. Maybe the higher price per kW compared to the smaller 3 and 5kVA models meant you delayed your decision? Did you prefer not to install a more complex parallel system, despite it being very well priced after last year's price reductions? My advice is always to keep things simple and even more so now that the 8kVA (6400W) and 10kVA (8000W) models have G99 certification. Do keep in mind parallel operation for the

Beating the loadshedding woes in RSA with a modest 3kVA (2.4kW) Victron Multiplus-II and 4kW storage.
What started out as a complete off-grid system four years ago to keep the fridge going, (no,not just for the beer ... obviously some wine too), ensure popular soapies were uninterrupted and to provide some essential light, at least for the boys to help hit the right target when visiting the "you know what", is today a well balanced ESS even if with a highly unreliable ESKOM grid connection as shown below. The DC coupled PV during the day helps power the loads and keeps the battery charged for esp

The Victron Multiplus-II 8 and 10kVA
Victron, without much fanfare, added an 8kVA and 10kVA model to the
popular 48V Multiplus-II range of inverters. Ideal for those installers
planning a larger domestic ESS system and don't require the additional
AC2IN for e.g. a generator.
